Lymphocyte Doubling Times

Quote from Kanti Rai at this year's IWCLL meeting in New York.

"Doubling time is fine if it's between 50,000 and 100,000, but a change for 4 to 8 is nonsense."

The truth is that unless an increase is consistent over several months, large enough to rule out the influence of other types of lymphocytes increasing, and unaccountable for by infection etc, then it is a very misleading index of progression.
